I will be taking real analysis this fall. If you have taken this class, would you mind telling me how you found it like?
by looking in a lot of books to find answers. get a copy of rudin http://www.amazon.com/Principles-Mathematical-Analysis-Third-Walter/dp/007054235X it will probably help
I know what the class is all about ;p I just wanted to hear some personal experiences/stories.
It's demanding. I recommend doing two things - see if you can force your professor to tell you the topics for upcoming lectures ahead of time, and read about them before hand to make the lectures themselves more worthwhile - just as when you were HS you probably learnt to proof to the quadratic equation, get back in habit in this course of learning the proofs for the all the major theorems. It will really help you understand why the definitions are what they are and help you generate your own proofs and counterexamples.
