A ball was thrown with an initial velocity of 25m/s at an angle 30 degrees above the horizontal. Find: a) the time the ball was in the air b) the range of the flight of the ball ** I really have no idea how to solve this one. Can anybody explain the formulas to be used? D:

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

tr=u^2sin2x/g where x is angle of inclination u is initial speed

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

tr=range

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

t-2usinx/g

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

this is projectile motion

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

formulae can be derieved

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

but i dont have time now!lol we will derive it together later

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol okay, thanks though :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

R=U^2sin2y/g where R=range y=angle of incidence T=usiny/g where u=initial velocity g=acceleration due to gravity
