Help me out <.< tell me what i need to get on my final to get an A in the class. Ive calculated it on my own, but i tend to be paranoid about things when it comes to my grades lol. Tell me what you guys get, details below.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Test 1 (15% of grade): 101 Test 2 (15%): 105 Test3 (20%): 100 Final (30%): Journal 1 (5%) 95 Journal2 (5%) not doing (lol) Attendance (10%) 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a lot of extra credit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im getting that i need to get an 84.5 on the final to get an A. make sure not to round, this professor doesnt >.> 89.9 is not an A lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

101 is the test grade?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

101(.15) + 105(.15) + 100(.20) + 95(.05) + 0(.05) + 90(.10) = total number of points out of 100 that youve got so far

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes , 84.533

OpenStudy (amistre64):

as is you have a 64.65

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right. i got that.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what is the cut off for an A? 89.9, 90, 91 ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool, i just need the confirmation lol. A lot of people were like, "youre not turning the second journal!? \shame" and i thought maybe i calculated wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

89.9 isnt and A, 90 is. thats messed up >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's not for math right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, its some Literature class.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are doing pretty well in there

OpenStudy (amistre64):

90.00 64.65 ----- 25 .35 = weight value x(.30) = 25.35 x = 25.35/.30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont want to do the journal because the 5% doesnt justify the amount of work needed to complete it <.< it should be worth at least 15%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre cool, thats what i got too.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you need at least an 85.5 to get an A for the course

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not doing journal got me a C in English last year

OpenStudy (amistre64):

84.5 if i hit the right keys lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright, thanks guys, now i can sleep at night :)
