explaination plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A cupcake = c/8 cents and you have two and a gingerbread square = g/6 so 2c/8+g/6 is the same as (3c+2g)/12 when you make it have a common denominator

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

\[{1c \over 4} + {1g \over 6} ={{3c + 2g} \over 12}\]
