Why was the Afghanistan war more popular then the Iraq war. Which one are we fighting right now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The war in Afghanistan was against the Taliban, who were assisting terrorists. The war in Iraq was supposedly to keep Saddam Hussein from making use of weapons of mass destruction, which it turned out he didn't actually have. Most people feel there was more justification for the US to go into Afghanistan than there was to attack Iraq. The US is still fighting in Afghanistan, and there are still American troops in Iraq. So, we are still fighting both, but more in Afghanistan.
