Someone please help. What is the slope to y = 2x + 5 and how to find it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x slope is 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You look at the number before the x. Make sure the y is alone. if it was something like 5y=10x+20, you would have to divide all the numbers by 5 to get your slope.

Thanks! :)

So how do I work it out?
