The expression arccos(3/5) has an infinite number of values. A. True B. False

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will keep my mouth shut.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you want a guess, since they wrote "expression" and not "function" they think this is multivalued. i will not argue because it is pointless.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False right ?

hero (hero):

Has to be false

OpenStudy (anonymous):

arccos means the angles whose cosine is 3/5 - apologies if i'm saying something you all know. - so the angles is in first quadrant and another in 4 th quadrant . and there are many more as we continue to go around the circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

- but then by definition, a function is either one to one or many to one and this is 1 to many - as Hero said it must be false. The fact that someone calls it an expression makes no difference.
