What is the 32nd term of the arithmetic sequence where a1 = –32 and a9 = –120?

OpenStudy (stacey):

If you use the equation \[a_{n} = a_{1}+(n-1)*d\] with n=9, you can find d. Then the equation can be used again with n=32 to find the 32nd term.
