question about an elipse. if im given the height the width and the lenght, does if matter which i use to calculate the foci?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

well the foci are +-c from center. c^2 = a^2 - b^2 you need both the length and width to find foci. length of major axis = 2a length of minor axis or width = 2b
