solve the equation 2sin^2(theta)=1

OpenStudy (vijay):

theta = pi/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide both sides by 2. Now you have sin^2(theta) = 1/2 Take the sqrt of both sides. Now you have sin(theta) = 1/sqrt(2) which rationalizes to sqrt(2)/2 Take the arcsine of both sides and you have 45 degrees or pi/4 radians. Hope this helps. If it does, please choose good answer.
