Can someone please help me with this? The function H described by H(x)=2.75x+71.48 can be used to predict the height, in centimeters, of a woman whos humerus (the bone from the elbow to the shoulder) is x cm long. Predict the height of a woman whos humerus is 40 cm long

OpenStudy (anonymous):

181.48cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to get that, simply replace x with 40 in the equation and evluate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is an example of the equation to solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean example?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like, would it be H(40)=2.75x+71.48?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes exactly right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks, Im trying to figure out how to do these equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i understand, you know some people just like to blurt out the answer on here, and they dont even explain how to do them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And I really do not know if that answer is even correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exactly, thats why it important to also explain the problem and how to do it. That way the person that asked the question can check for themselves
