why is ketones can not be prepared from the method of rosenn mund's reaction ?

Rosen Mund's reaction is the reduction of an acid chloride to an aldehyde. A Pd catalyst facilitates the removal of the chlorine and the addition of hydrogen. If you wan't to form a ketone you should try something like a Grignard reaction.
