There is an old saying "If you give someone a fish, you feed them for a day.  If you actually teach them how to fish, you feed them for a lifetime."   

 I sometimes feel that openstudy is full of people just being given fish without knowing anything about the act of fishing. :)

With serious short term memory issues, someone could teach me for a lifetime and I would annoyingly, constantly forget everything = /
