If the area of a circle is 8 pi, what is the length of its diameter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The area of a circle is Pi x (r x r) , pi times radius squared, then you would reverse the process to find the radius, and hence, the diameter. Divide the area by Pi = (3.14159...) and you would have the radius squared. Take the square root of that and you have the radius. To get the diameter, multiply the radius by 2. (Note: since you have 8Pi make sure you multiply 8 x Pi for your area first before he rest of the calculations). Hope this helps.
