A rectangle is twice as long as it is wide. Its width is 4 cm. What is its area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2*4 equals 8, thats the lenght, thus its area is 4*8. Or 32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An area of a rectangle is a x b (a = length, b = width). If width (b) = 4cm , then twice the size of width for length (a) = 2x 4cm = 8cm length. So the Area = a x b, which is 8cm x 4cm = 32cm^2
