to translate, just imagine moving the whole triangle. the translation coordinate is as follows: (0,1) - (-4,7) = (4,-6) therefore to find the new point T, just add the previous coordinates of T with the translation coordinate, getting: (8,1) They new points are now called RXY, assuming. part b, reflecting through x axis, since T is perpendicular to x axis ( parallel to y axis), the x coordinates remain the same. also, since T is 7 units in the direction of Y away from x axis, the reflected image of T would be 7 units in the negative Y direction, and the new coordinate is now (4,-7)
