Give an example to show that the conditions of rolle's theorem are sufficient but not necessary.

Consider the function f(x)=x^3 on an interval from [-t, t] there are no values such that f(a)=f(b) for a and b distinct in this interval. However f'(0)=0. Thus the conditions are not necessary to get a slope of zero in that interval.
