I need to learn basics of Pearl. can anyone help me out ?

Perl is a very fun language to learn. I would suggest using the book "Programming Perl", then the the companion book "Learning Perl". Both by O'Reilly. It is sometimes called the Camel book. Here is the link to where you can buy it. http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780596000271
