how do i find the sum or difference of (2a+3)+(5a+1)

2a + 5a +3+1 7a +4
by "sum or difference" do u mean 2 different problems- one adding and one subtracting? Or just doing that stuff in general?
so yeah, combine like terms.
subtracting it would be 2a+3-5a-1
-3a+2

the 2 is suppose to be at the top of that v
that's multiplying, not adding/subtract. What you do for that is multiply the 4 to each term. 4v^2 -16v+36
ok...16x2(squared)-2
the x is squared
factor each polynomial 16x2-2 the x is squared
