Could someone please explain the concepts of projectile motion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to break up the vectors into a horizontal vector and a vertical vector, when you throw something horizontally, it accelerates in your hand and then travels horizontally at a constant velocity, until it hits the ground because there is a constant negative accelelration acting on it on the vertical vector by gravity so if you throw something at 3 m/s 19.6 m off the ground, and gravity is 9.8 m/s^2 then it will have two seconds of flight before it hits the ground which means it will travel 6 m
