I got this question i had for general paper essay today
it goes, " to what extent has sport lost its ideals"
im not too sure about what sport lost its ideals mean..
anyone of help?? =)

Well you could start of by finding a definition for 'ideals' then have a think about what ideals sports might have (try to think of one that you might play, or have seen). Then think about which of these sport still supports or might have been lost. Then see if you can find evidence for this.

Some thoughts off the top of my head.
1) Players playing for money instead of the thrill of the game
2) Owners trading off members for greater profits instead of looking at team dynamics
3) A focus on winning above all else, especially sportsmanship

how about if i take the stand sport has not lost its ideals and include points like
- it promotes a healthy lifestyle
- it unites country tog
- it shapes a person's character
and that's because that's what sports does, creating harmony and cultivation of skills..
