Operation Facebook by the Anonymous Group - Will it Succeed?

It depends. Anonymous will use a denial of service attack to overwhelm Facebook servers with requests to access. Basically its like when too many people are talking at you at once so you can't understand any of them.

It will succeed if enough hackers participate in the attack. Facebook has some of the largest servers on the planet, so if not enough hackers participate, You will still be able to access Facebook.

It will Fail if not enough hackers participate or if Facebook sets up extra protections against the attack. Anonymous tried to take down Amazon.com a few months ago, but failed because their servers were to large. My guess is that it will be the same case for facebook.
