it's okay. When dealing with quadratic equations (polynomials with the highest degree of the variable being 2) One can use the quadratic formula to find roots: if f(x)=ax^2+bx+c=0 then x=-b/2+root(b^2-4ac)/2 and x= -b/2-root(b^2-4ac)/2
