is it better to learn XHTML or HTML5 ?? I know HTML but it bit older so i was thinking to learn something new

As HTML5 is not yet implemented in all browsers I think you should begin with XHTML. Besides, these two languages are not that different, sure, you'll have to learn new markups and specificities of HTML5 but with your XHTML knowledge it should be quite easy. :)

HTML5 is definitely more powerful. XHTML is a more strict variant of HTML4. HTML5 would be considered superior.
