What are the metabolomic, genomic, proteomic and physiological differences between the animal and plant cell?
Even a single book cannot describe one of the terms you have asked. can you be more specific. Of course there are difference in plants and animal cells, so there are differences in their metabolomic, genomic, proteomic and physiological profiles.
a bit like apples and oranges... anyways. matabolically: plants that contain chlorophyl generate energy through photosynthesis - hence the relevant enzymes for that. animal cells generate energy through glycolysis (ofglucose) and storage as ATP: glocose 6 phosphate - pyruvate kinase and their fellows... most animal cells are diploid. barley and water melon are diploid if i remember correctly - just as an example for genomic differences. etc.
