breeezy try using equation editor

OpenStudy (zarkon):

this \[\frac{c-1}{8}\cdot\frac{4}{1-c^2}\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-c^2+c-1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a parabola with 2 complex roots

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2 - i/2 and 1/2+i/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{c-1}{8}*\frac{4}{1-c^2}\] \[\frac{c-1}{8}*\frac{4}{-1(c^2-1)}\] \[\frac{c-1}{8}*\frac{4}{-1(c+1)(c-1)}\] Cancel: \[\frac{1}{2}*\frac{1}{-1(c+1)}\] \[\frac{1}{-2c-2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's no equals sign so you can only simplify. I'm not sure the parabola is what they're aiming for but without feedback there's no way to be sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[c-1/2-c ^{2}\]\[(-1/2)(c ^{2}-2c+1)=(c-1)^{2}/(-2)\] i hope it is right
