one endpoint of the line segment with length 10 and slope 3/4 is in the origin. if the midpoint is in the first quadrant, what are its coordinates?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bet you can do it almost in your head. think 3-4-5 right triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let the other end of the segment has coordinates x, y then y / x = 3/4 the right angled triangle formed has hypotenuse 10 so x = 8 and y = 6 (pythtgoras) midpoint is ((6+0)/2 , (8+0 )/2
