what impact did the printing press have on society
The press played a pivotal role in the success story of most freedom struggles and helped in bringing about social reforms back then and is still continuing to do so. In the past, printing press was the only and most efficient way for spreading the call of national leaders to which the people responded in large numbers. It was the only mode of communication in many countries, through which people could be addressed. Apart from its contribution to the freedom movement, any social change in one part of the country was communicated by means of print media, which was then adopted by the people far and wide. With the commencement of electronic media though, its utility has partially been sidelined, but it still plays the protagonist in our society.
