The ratio of corresponding sides of similar plane figures is twenty-eight inches divided by seven inches. If the area of the smaller figure is fifteen square inches, what is the area of the larger figure? 36 sq ft. 60 sq ft 120 sq ft. 240 sq ft.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

240 sq ft.

yup

Someone needs to smack the writer of that question for putting inches in the ratio. Ratios are scalars and are unit independent. ^_^
