(-37x^3 y^2 /148x^0y^-5 )^-2 simplify into positive exponents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-37x^3y^7/148)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you show how u got this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u are supposed to add exponents and anything to power of 0 is 1 hence (-37x^3y^(5+2)/148) ;x^0 turned into 1 so we dont need to write it and y was to negative power so we flip it first making it y^5*y^2 hence y^7

do you follow?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i got it now nd thank u so much
