what is the formula to determine how far a car travels at a certain speed in so many hours?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distance/time=speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distance=speed*time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distance traveled = speed x time taken

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk if any1 here has taken the military asvab but its on there a lot and im taking it tomorrow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and for giggles, time=distance/speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you =]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem! That formula is used a lot, so you would be wise to memorize it ^.^

Don't worry, the most they'll make you do will be to determine the trajectory of a rocket under several environmental factors. :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and how would i do that with a rocket?

OpenStudy (across):

It was a joke. :P Only rocket scientists and aerospace/aeronautical engineers can tackle that kind of problem without stroking-out. xd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im just really bad with math and im really worried about this subject on the test

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and scoring bad in this section could result in a bad job in the army

OpenStudy (across):

Generalized tests tend to test people on mathematical intuition and foundation rather than arcane knowledge or superb dexterity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its not gonna be super crazy stuff????? general math?

OpenStudy (across):

Expect, at most, a little trigonometry and probability. You'll never encounter anything like calculus or beyond. I'm basing this off the GRE (grad school exam), which I assume is harder than the one you'll be taking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its pretty much just a job placement test but math is a very critcal portion for ur job placement because almost every job they offer requires a little math knowledge
