Determine whether 2 is a zero of the polynomial P(x) = 3x^3 – 6x^2 – 3x – 18 by using the Remainder Theorem???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have to use the Remainder Theorem, you want to see what the remainder is when you divide P(x) by x-2. If the remainder is 0, its a root. If not, its not a root.

the easiest way to do this is to do it like vjk said though.

(if you dont have to use the Remainder Theorem)

Have to use remainder theorem..
