simplify: 5√(-32y^5)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 *( √(-32y^5) ^2) - is that correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well..... I think so! These are tough for me. Let me see if I can copy paste it here...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope, I can't:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see i'm not sure if it was 5 times or the 5th root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if its the fifth root then the answer is (-2y)^2 = 4y^2 - its likely to be that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill see if i can get it on equation thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its likely to be 5th root because it works out neatly
