|x|-|x-2|=2 please show me how you got it...

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x>2**

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

x = 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jahtoday has it (almost) it is \[x\geq 2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol forgot that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is \[|x|-|x-2|=2\] for any value of x greater than or equal to 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but it is certainly not x = 2 is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if x > 2 then \[|x|=x\] and \[|x-2|=x-2\] so you have for any x > 2 \[|x|-|x-2|=x-(x-2)=2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
