2x^3-2x^2-x+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what would you like to do with this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says factor by grouping

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-1) (2 x^2-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x^3-2x^2-x+1 for instance let x=1 plug it in: 2-2-1+1 = 0 this confirms x = 1 is a root therefore (x-1) is a factor divide (x-1) from the equation you get (2x^2-1) as the quotient in other words (2x^3-2x^2-x+1) = (x-1)(2x^2 - 1)
