how many three digit numbers can be made using the digits 2,3,4,5&6 if no digit can be repeated? How many of these are greater than 400?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first answer is 60 and the second one is 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think i got the first part its 5!/(5-3)!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which equals 5x4x3 = 60 but i can get the second one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if no digit can be repeated is it 5*4*3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the ones that are greater than 400 means first digit is 4 or 5or 6 so there are 3*4*3

OpenStudy (anonymous):
