Square root means the answer squared equals the argument Cube root means answer cubed equals the argument 5th root means answer to 5th power equals argument For example: \[\sqrt{16} = 4 \rightarrow 4^{2} = 16\] \[\sqrt[3]{16} = 2.52 \rightarrow 2.52^{3} \approx 16\]
