Factor completely: 2x2 − 6x − 56 2(x − 7)(x + 4) (2x − 14)(x + 4) (x − 7)(2x + 8) Prime

I'm assuming you mean 2x^2 -6x -56 pull the 2 out 2(x^2 -3x -28) now the -28 term means this factors into x+... and x-...., now we need two numbers of opposite signs that add up to make -3 and multiply to give -28 (-7 and +4 seems right to me) 2(x-7)(x+4)
