How do you do dimensional analysis?

OpenStudy (stmoney):

by converting something from one unit of measurement to another.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should use fractions. Dimensional analysis is basically just crossing out units that cancel when you multiply fractions. Here is an example \[(8meters/second)(60 seconds/1\min)= 8 meters/\min\] to convert from meters per second to meters per min. you multiple the two fractions and get rid of the units that cancel out.

oops that should be 480 meters/ min, sorrry.
