see here , 7(x+2)+12 Multiply 7 by each term inside the parentheses. 7x+14+12 Add 12 to 14 to get 26. 7x+26 or in other terms apply the property of distributive property of multiplication under addition 7(x) + 7(2) + 12 7x + 14 + 12 7x + 26
