Whats is a compound?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

contains 2 or more DIFFERENT atoms. Molecules are groups of atoms that can be the same like diatomic hydrogen H2 or different like water H2O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

compounds are of two types, homogeneous and heterogeneous, i can't remember which one is what, but one of them can be easily separated by physical process, like sand from water, and the other one needs chemical process to separate, i can't recall an example, another difference between them is that in the first case the different substances in the mixture is clearly visible, while in the later case sugar is dissolved in water and its not visible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a compound is substance which contains two or more different types of atoms or molecules CHEMICALLY combined togather
