assume a system has a main mem of 1gb..i'v a file of 2 gb...how is it getting executed ??

1GB or RAM and a file to be to be treated of 2GB in ROM ?

It's loaded in parts to the RAM and the processor memory. So you don't execute the whole file at the same time. The process is separated on physical level onto "pages" and they are in turn transferred to the memory. If I remember correctly my basic computer architectures class that is.
