Using complete sentences, answer the following questions about the two quadratic equations above. Do the two quadratic equations have anything in common? If so, what? What makes y = x2 + 4x + 4 different from y = x2 + 5x + 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes , they have one soloution is common

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x+2)(x+2) and (x+3)(x+2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They have one solution common hence they interesect however one is a double root(graph just touches x axis) while other has two unique solutions

If you graph these 2 parabolas, you will see that the 2nd is just a shift of the first. I mean they have exact same shape, but one is a translation of the other. First one has vertex of (-2,0) Second on has vertex (-2.5, -0.25)
