Is it possible to find the absolute value equation given coordinates and the vertex ? If so could somebody explain how ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes Vertex (1,3) \[y=(|x-1|)+3\]

myininaya (myininaya):

\[y=a|x-1|+3\]

myininaya (myininaya):

where a is some number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if i were using the vertex (13,10) then the absolute value equation would be y= a ( x- 13 ) +10 ? im using parenthesis for absolute vale sigs .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are right
