Can Anybody shed some light on Personality traits that are created, or otherwise changed, during romantic relationships? Also, some reference would be helpfull

I only know that a romantic relationship decreases neuroticism, even after a romantic relationship has ended. But I am not really getting, what you want to know. Reference woul be a study by Prof Neyer of University Jena, but I am not sure when the paper was published.

A decent bet for you is to look at the link between attachment styles and personality traits. Whilst it's a little roundabout, there are many links between attachment styles and romantic relationships, so you could propose a theory of mediation. Here's a link to an abstract I found for you :) http://psp.sagepub.com/content/18/5/536.short

I can reference numerous studies that show how personality traits are modified, enhanced, or can become less apparent as a result of the dynamics of a relationship. However, the relationship itself cannot be responsible for the creation of the set of traits, as these are developed from infancy, and are shaped throughout an entire life.
