the post war era really lastedy until the beginnings of the cold war era to its decline in 1989, in ties with the rise and fall of the soviet union

I don't see the relevance of the baby boom to the post-wwii era. I have a few dozen thousand books on history at uni but i cannot find a simple answer, it's for another question i have to answer, but as the question refers to the time period as the Post WWII era i'm not even sure which info i'm collecting is within the time constrain of Post-WWII era. The answer from catierobinson makes the most sense. Thanks x
