It says: Could not download the upgrades The upgrade has aborted. Please check your Internet connection or installation media and try again. All files downloaded so far are kept. Files that cannot been fetched are: Failed to fetch http://ec.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/g/gnupg/gnupg-curl_1.4.10-2ubuntu2_i386.deb 403 Forbidden Failed to fetch http://ec.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/i/ibus-m17n/ibus-m17n_1.3.0-1_i386.deb 403 Forbidden Is there something I can do to fix it?

You can see if there's another source. A 403 is weird, though. Might want to Google it and see if there's some help in the Ubuntu forums.

Feel free to disregard, but here's an ultra low-tech solution: if the download is really driving you nuts, you could find a local Linux users' group (or even a local individual who's a big fan of Linux) and ask them to give you the distro on a CD or USB stick. I've seen Ubuntu guys giving out such materials through booths at music conerts and fairs, believe it or not! When I told a friend of mine that I was thinking of trying Ubuntu but was too busy to download and install it, he burnt a copy for me.

why not try downloading a NEW copy of ubuntu? it's better: version 11.04 :)) http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download

yeah i did use international source

You might want to change your respiratory if you continue to have problems. I had to change mine because it failed to fetch anything, let os updates.
