I'm just checking my answers here, but what is x if the equation is 2/3x=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really because i got 1.6 repeating

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=15, because you multiply both sides of the equation by 3 which will get you 2x=30. then you divide both sides by 2 which gets you x=15.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but y do u multiply both sides by 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the 3 is on the bottom of the fraction, if you multiply both sides by three the fraction will cancel out on the left side and you will have 2x=30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry use brackets when notating sums

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanx i got it now
