a. Solve 2x^2=10 b. Find the x-intercepts of f(x)=2x^2-10

OpenStudy (curry):

a. x= 2.24

OpenStudy (curry):

b. x= 2.24 also i believe i not sure

2x^2=10 x=2.24

It's the same question. The first one, you're solving the equation 2x^2 -10 = 0. The second one, you have f(x) = 2x^2 - 10, and you want the x intercepts, which just means you want to know when y is 0. There will be two solutions though. 2.24 and -2.24

OpenStudy (radar):

\[f(x)=2x ^{2}-10\]\[2x ^{2}-10=0\] for x intercept \[2x ^{2}=10\]\[x ^{2}=5\]\[x=\sqrt{5}\]
