without graphing, how do i explain end behavior of the graph of the function f(x)=3x^3??

mentally plug very large number , and very small number

as x approaches negative infinity, f(x) approaches negative infinity. as x approaches positive infinity, f(x) approaches positive infinity.

another way to put it: as x gets really large in the positive direction, f(x) gets really large in the positive direction. On the flip side, as x gets really large in the negative direction, f(x) gets really large in the negative direction.
